The Los Alamos Chamber, the Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC), and the Los Alamos County Environmental Services Division (LACESD) have teamed up to establish "Going Green", a program to recognize businesses in our community that are making strides toward sustainable operations and practices. PEEC and LACESD have developed the criteria and are evaluating applications from businesses and organizations.

The Chamber is recognizing businesses awarded the "Going Green" designation by placing a special badge next to their name in Chamber directories and by providing a special decal for them to display at their business.
